Troop 12 is a boy-led, high-adventure troop that loves to get outside and explore. We’re a Catholic Troop, and welcome boys from all faiths and backgrounds. With a focus on fun and outdoor adventures, Troop 12 is committed to the personal growth of each of our scouts.

Monthly Outdoor Adventures: Troop 12 has an exciting outdoor activity every single month! We camp at least 10 months out of the year. Some of our favorite activities are: hiking, climbing, pioneering, archery, canoeing & kayaking, and campfire skits and songs!
Summer Camp: The most important event in Troop 12's calendar is Summer Camp. It's the one week each year our entire Troop gets to live and work (and play) together as a team. All Troop 12 Scouts are expected to attend Summer Camp each year.

Troop 12 History

Troop 12 has a long history of tradition dating all the way back to September 1949, when it was founded in Eugene, OR at
St. Mary Catholic Church. -
In the late 1990’s, Troop 12 had to cease operations due to lack of adult volunteers.

Twenty-five years later, a committee was formed to bring back Troop 12, with the goal of providing a faith-focused Troop for Cub Scout Pack 12 Scouts to cross over into and seamlessly continue their BSA Scouting journey.

With the help of Oregon Trail Council and St. Alice Catholic Church-- Troop 12 launched during the middle of the 2020 Coronovirus pandemic.

Troop 12 was officially chartered on March 26, 2020 and held its formal Charter Ceremony on Oct. 11, 2020 at St. Alice Catholic Church.
