  • Fort Worth Sheriff Lon Evans was in Troop 12.

  • The first Order of the Arrow Vigil member in the Longhorn Council was from Troop 12.

  • Tom Blanton, a Scout from 1958, later became the Scoutmaster for four years.

  • Jim Hart, the writer and producer of Hook, the motion picture starring Robin Williams, was a Scout in 1962 in Troop 12.

  • The Labhart Brothers each earned the Eagle Award in Troop 512. There were six of them.

  • A famous frontiersman's namesake was a Scout in Troop 12, and later became the first Post 12 Advisor - David Crockett, 1940.
